To start this second newsletter, I wish to show you the unexpected surprise given on the morning of march 1st, by mother Nature.
The touristic season has started since the end of march, and visitors can see roofers, carpenters and masons now working on the roof of the chateau..
The old slates taken off, rafters appear and are sumitted to the carpenter's diagnosis: no bad surprise yet.

About the decorating chapter, I am happy to announce the return of the two door-curtains wearing the emblema of Nicolas Fouquet.
The coat of arms of Nicolas Fouquet have been put above Colbert 's and therefore the Squirrel recovers its legitimacy place on these tapestries. After the arrest of Fouquet, Colbert had ordered to continue the weaving of door curtains, but with his own coat of arms, the grass snake.
Also, if you come back to Vaux, you will be surprised to hear, after too many years of silence, the chime of the chateau's main clock, and all of the clocks sitting on mantelpieces of the main rooms inside the chateau.
