Means of access
Distance from paris : 55 km by road, 45 minutes. From Paris, take the highway A4 or A6 and then follow the direction of Troyes via the A5. Take the first exit Saint Germain Laxis on the A5. Vaux le Vicomte is just 1km away.
GPS : enter "Maincy" as the name of the city and you will find the château de Vaux-le-Vicomte on the D215 road.
- By train /RER :
- From Gare de Lyon in Paris : Take the direct train (25 minutes) to the station of Melun.
- Possibility also to take the RER D from Paris (Le Chatelet) to Melun station ( non direct train, so longer journey)
- From Melun station to the chateau : 6 km by taxi or with the Chateaubus shuttle ( see timetable and dates below
