SATURDAY EVENING (Candlelit visits)
From May 3rd to October 4th, 2014
DECEMBER AND JANUARY from 10:30 am to 6pm, on the following days :
- November 29th and 30th; December 6th, 7th, 13th and 14th.
- Everyday from December 20th, 2014 to January 4th, 2015 (except on December 25th and January 1st)
On December 24th and 31st, the estate closes its doors at 5pm.

How to get there
NEW ! DIRECT SHUTTLE FROM PARIS BY COACH

Package including transportation from the center of Paris (address : 2 rue des Pyramides – Paris 1st Arrdt) with Cityrama-Parisvision.

BY CAR : 55kms from Paris – 1 hour
Take the A4 or A6 motorway, then follow signs to Troyes via the motorway A5.
The nearest motorway exit to the Château is Exit No.15 signposted to Saint Germain Laxis.
GPS: First enter the municipal area of Maincy, and you will then find the Château of Vaux-le-Vicomte on the D215 local departmental road. GPS co-ordinates (Lat x Long): 48.568727000, 2.713580000
BY TRAIN : from Gare de Lyon to Melun – direct trains every 30min – Duration : 30 min.
In Melun, possibility of taxi (+33 (0) 1 64 52 51 50) or shuttle « ChateauBus » on week ends and public holidays from March 29th to November 11th. (Distance=6km). No shuttle in the evening from September on: the shuttle dedicated to the candlelight visit only runs in June, July and August.
Please note to get a reduced price, you’ll have to show a proof at the entrance.
We wish to leave you with an unforgettable memory of your visit, and to this end the Vaux le Vicomte estate includes two restaurants where visitors may enjoy lunch (or dinner on Saturday evenings only), with a number of electric golf cars placed at your disposal so you can get to them easily. People with reduced mobility
Arrangements have been made so that people with reduced mobility can access as much of the estate as possible, despite its many cobbled areas and stairs. Wheelchairs are available at the ticket desks in the entrance area and electric cars are available for hire to facilitate mobility around the gardens. Please do not hesitate to approach our staff should you have any specific requirements. They are there to help.
