Secondary school students
A visit to Vaux-le-Vicomte is a wonderful opportunity for site-based learning that anchors several facets of the secondary school curriculum in a fascinating historical setting.
Educational workshops have been developed to enhance classroom learning in History, French and Art. Topics such as the major features of absolute monarchy, baroque art and classicism, the great writers of the 17th century will be covered in a lively and engaging manner.
It is strongly recommended that school groups visit the château between 10:00 am and 1:30 pm to benefit from a preferential price of 8€ for groups of at least 20 children, leaving the afternoon free to explore the gardens and the carriage museum.
An uprated price of 11€ is charged to visit the château on weekday afternoons and on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
A reduction of 1€ per person is available for visits in April and October.
A book of riddles will be given to each child who visits the château
